In the SHAPE project, the Institute for Information Business from WU in collaboration with Siemens AG will develop ICT support for more rigorous and verifiable process management in recurring and adaptive engineering processes, by supporting modelling, monitoring and conformance checking in safety-critical engineering processes. As a result, a methodology to extract process descriptions from structured and unstructured data will be developed, and such process models will be enriched by resources, data and overall process compliance constraints and provided with semantics in order to enable structured querying to ensure compliance with rules and security in the execution of critical activities and the access to confidential information.
